Japan has many world-leading, advanced technologies, including in the following areas:

Energy-saving (utilization of solar energy technology, such as photovoltaic power generation, storage technologies such as lithium batteries, etc.)

Materials Science (carbon nanotubes, advanced materials technologies, etc.)

Environmental (technologies for reducing and preventing environmental pollution, countering global warming, etc.)

Membrane (seawater desalination technology, etc.)

Robotics

The JGC-S Scholarship Foundation provides scholarships to students of all nationalities committed to studying at a university or college in Japan.

Since 1968, we have supported more than 16,000 students from over 54 countries.

In 2007, we granted scholarships to 145 foreign students.

The year 2008 marks the beginning of a new scholarship program limited to those who are citizens of oil-producing countries, MENA or Central Asia.

To students attending Japanese graduate schools, we will be granting a benefit of 180,000 JPY per month.

Self-supported students who are either undergraduate, postgraduate or research students in the Faculties of Science or Engineering.
・ Applocation will commence in April.
・ Grant…￥250,000 (lump-sum payment)
・ Scholarship will be distributed as a one-time payment.
