How To Buy Tokyo Olympic 2020 Tickets

How To Buy Tokyo Olympic 2020 Tickets

Tokyo Olympic tickets will be sold online by official resellers in every country, and through standard ticket outlets in Japan (convenience stores, ticket agencies and online). Sale dates have not been released yet, but we’ll have them for you as soon as they are.

How and Where To Buy Olympic Tickets

For people living outside of Japan, the best way to purchase tickets will be from official ticket resellers in your country. Usually only one seller will be designated per country. Check the Tokyo Olympic Committee’s Tokyo 2020 Authorized Ticket Reseller List for the designated reseller in your country. Most of the resellers listed on their page currently have some basic information about purchasing tickets on their sites, some allow you to buy a Priority Access Pass (see below), but others have yet to post any information.

How Much Will Tokyo Olympic Tickets Cost?

According to the Tokyo Olympic Organising Committee, tickets for the opening ceremony will range from Y15,000 to Y300,000 (about US$220 to US$2680). Average ticket prices for events will cost from Y2500 to Y130,000 (about US$60 to US$1160) and half of tickets will cost less than Y8000 (about US$44).

What is a Priority Access Pass?

Some official ticket resellers are offering something called a Priority Access Pass. To be honest, we’re not 100% sure how these work, but they appear to grant preferred access to online ticket sales from the reseller in question. The UK ticket reseller site has a good page on the Priority Access Pass.

When Will Tokyo Olympic Tickets Go On Sale?

As soon as sale dates and purchase locations are announced, we will announce them on this page.
